Happy Birthday Random Musings

Today my blog turns one year old. I hardly know what to expect! I used to work at a day care center with two and three year olds. If my blog were turning two, I know I could expect it to run wildly around my dining room touching everything, screaming "mine, mine, mine........cookie?" But I never dealt with a one year old before. Oh well. They say new experiences help us to make new brain cells, right?
It is highly likely that you never read my first post. Click the link to see it. Can you recognize me in there?

That's super cool Helen. I can't believe you've been blogging for a year. I've only been for a few months. Today is only my #50 post.

Love that, Helen. ;)Yes, I can see you in there. Although admittedly in a less confident form.

Your blog has turned into much more than a creative outlet. And just so you know...

I think you're still both silly and significant.

Happy Birthday Random Musings!

My experience with one year old has usually been filled poop, burps, feeding, and lots of crying/screaming.

Celebrate like a 2 year old! It'll be much more fun and your friends will want to still hang around.

*I think an "Anniversary/Birthday Interview" is in order. We want to know all the rivoting questions.

*What keeps you going?
*Your best post?
* Your funniest? Saddest? Dumbest?
*Tell us about your "travels" and where they have led you...

Toss the MooMoo and dress up for this one! It's special!

You're Daddy would be so proud!

Ryan, time passes by quickly. And, there were months where I only posted a handful of times because no one seemed to be reading my blog. I didn't have Google Analytics. I do now, but I never check it. I would rather spend my on line time reading my friends' blogs and participating, than checking out a spreadsheet. But I have it now.
Steph, true, I do feel more confident after Katdish and Annie mentioning that I crack them up, Sherri saying she loves me, Beth and Mare's words of encouragement, Ryan telling me a post was good, and your thoughtful responses.
Thanks. I thought the silly and significant part turned out to be ironic, since a randomly do both, sometimes in the very same post. paragraph. sentence.

Sherri, thanks for the advice. You don't mind if my blog finger paints while we talk, do you? Oh, and it might give you a hug with messy fingers...
*What keeps you going?Having friends to talk with on my blog, and theirs.
*Your best post? I think my best post is the one where I write about being an awkward kid who still checked out the lawn manger scene when she was in eighth grade. It sort of demonstrates that I don't mean to be odd, I just am.
* Your funniest? I suspect my funniest post is the one where I write about watch pro wrestling. It is an odd interest for a Christian woman. Saddest? When I write about being childless. Dumbest?I am not sure. I guess it depends on perspective. A Blagojevich fan might say my interview with myself were my dumbest posts. Sane people would disagree ;-)
*Tell us about your "travels" and where they have led you...Well, I "travel" to nearby areas, such as Indiana and Illinois, daily. I crisscross from Oregon to Georgia to California to Texas every day. Then I go to Africa, which somehow shows up as Florida on the map. Some days I go to Minnesota, New York and Ireland as well. Then I have breakfast.

Beth, thanks. I try to clean her up a bit before presenting her to you guys, but you know how one year olds are. Poop right after you change them. And again, thanks.
